Democracy Day: Hon.Ologede Reaffirms Commitment to Good Governance
....Says Akure North Will Continue to Enjoy the Dividends of Democracy
As Nigerians across the nation commemorate this year’s Democracy Day, the lawmaker representing Akure North Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Kolawole Ologede, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to democratic ideals and effective representation.
In a heartfelt message to mark the June 12 celebration, Hon. Ologede described democracy as the most valuable legacy Nigeria must continue to uphold, protect, and deepen for the benefit of future generations.
“June 12 is more than a date in our history. It is a symbol of the people’s will, the sacrifices of our democratic heroes, and the continued hope for a better Nigeria,” he said.
Reflecting on his stewardship in the House of Assembly, Hon. Ologede noted that Akure North has remained a priority in his legislative agenda, with efforts ongoing to ensure the constituency continues to benefit from meaningful development, social welfare, and inclusive governance.
>“My mandate is rooted in the trust and support of the good people of Akure North. I do not take it for granted. I remain committed to pursuing laws and policies that reflect their interests, improve their livelihoods, and secure a brighter future for our communities,” he added.
He called on constituents to remain peaceful, united, and participatory in the democratic process, stressing that active citizenship is key to the strength and sustainability of any democracy.
As the nation marks this symbolic day, Hon. Kolawole Ologede extended his greetings to all Nigerians and urged citizens to uphold the values of justice, fairness, and accountability in all spheres of life.
“Together, we will continue to move Akure North forward, and by extension, build a more prosperous Ondo State and a better Nigeria,” he concluded.
