Hon.Ayebusiwa Marks Two Years of Impactful Representation in Ondo Assembly

Honourable Chris Ayebusiwa, representing Okitipupa Constituency 1 in the Ondo State House of Assembly, has marked his second year in office with an impressive record of achievements spanning education, community development, healthcare, electricity, water, welfare, and legislative duties.


The lawmaker’s midterm performance was highlighted in a scorecard celebrating his impact across various sectors in the constituency.

Empowering Minds Through Education
Ayebusiwa’s tenure has seen strategic interventions in education, including the provision of scholarships for pupils in partnership with the Seed of Deborah Foundation. He has also facilitated tuition payments and provided upkeep support for students in higher institutions. Additionally, he organized a constituency-wide quiz competition with cash prizes for outstanding participants and supported technical skill acquisition programs to boost youth employability.

Lifting Lives through Employment and Welfare
In a bold move to tackle unemployment, the legislator facilitated the employment of eight constituents in various state and federal agencies such as the Ondo State Board of Internal Revenue, the Teaching Service Commission, and SUBEB. He also ensured the welfare of public primary and secondary school teachers and appointed aides with attractive welfare packages.

Furthermore, Ayebusiwa shared his first legislative salary among party leaders, ward executives, and religious figures—a gesture that symbolized his grassroots connection. He also distributed fertilizers to farmers to support food security.

Touching Lives through Healthcare and Empowerment
Health outreach programs were conducted in Ilutitun, Igbotako, and Ikoya, offering free diagnosis, tests, prescriptions, and medications. In addition, 100 women across seven wards benefitted from economic support schemes. He also facilitated the Bemore Bootcamp to empower young girls with life-changing skills.

Boosting Infrastructure and Basic Amenities
Communities in Okitipupa Constituency 1 witnessed rural electrification projects and the repair of long-abandoned transformers. A new water project was also completed in Igbisin-Oloto, while the lawmaker donated ₦1 million towards the Ilutitun Community Development project.

Active Legislative Participation
On the legislative front, Ayebusiwa contributed to strategic bills, notably the establishment of 33 new Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs). As Chairman of the House Committee on Tertiary Institutions and a member of key committees such as Public Accounts and OSOPADEC, he has been a visible force in the legislative process.

Beyond policies and projects, Ayebusiwa continues to offer personal interventions to constituents in need, demonstrating his commitment to responsive and humane leadership.

The record of accomplishments underscores Hon. Ayebusiwa’s focus on purposeful representation, with a blend of people-first governance and progressive advocacy that has redefined legislative service in Okitipupa Constituency 1.
