A Leader Shaped by Service

In today’s political landscape, where citizens yearn for leaders who blend integrity, performance, and accessibility, Hon. Ologede Kolawole—fondly called Omo Ria Ni—has carved a niche as a representative of trust and purpose. Serving the people of Akure North State Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly, his journey is defined not by mere rhetoric, but by results that resonate across communities.
Commitment Beyond Ambition

Hon. Ologede’s entry into politics was not born of personal ambition, but rather a deep commitment to serve and uplift his people. Representing Akure North, he has continually sought to strengthen their voice in governance while ensuring that development touches the grassroots. His story is that of a man who sees politics not as a career, but as a calling.

Steering Education with Vision

Currently serving as the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Hon. Ologede has used his position to champion policies that strengthen schools and promote access to quality learning. This aligns with his long-standing dedication to education within his constituency, where interventions have touched students, parents, and teachers alike.

Employment Opportunities for Constituents

One of his early impacts was in job creation. Through his facilitation, 12 constituents secured employment slots across agencies such as the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS), the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM). For families in Akure North, this intervention brought relief and renewed hope.

Building Educational Infrastructure

Hon. Ologede has gone beyond policy by investing in tangible projects. His constituency witnessed the construction of six classrooms at Olobi, another six at Igunsi, and two additional blocks at Igele. These efforts are helping to decongest classrooms, provide better learning environments, and restore confidence in public schools.

Driving Economic Growth Locally

The lawmaker’s vision for grassroots development also found expression in commerce. By facilitating the construction of a community market in Itaogbolu, he provided a hub for local trade and economic activity. This intervention not only supports small businesses but also strengthens the financial backbone of households.

Water, the People’s Priority

Access to potable water remains a pressing need in rural communities. Hon. Ologede responded by sinking boreholes at Eleyeowo and Ogbese, ensuring that residents no longer trek long distances in search of clean water. These projects demonstrate his focus on addressing basic but critical community needs.

Supporting Youths and Students

Education support remains a hallmark of his representation. Through his annual Free UTME registration scheme, he has removed financial barriers for students aspiring to higher education. This initiative continues to give many young people in Akure North a chance to dream and achieve, regardless of their family background.

Inclusive Leadership for All

Beyond projects, Hon. Ologede’s leadership style is about inclusivity. By appointing and empowering Special Assistants across all 12 wards of Akure North, he ensured that every community has a voice in decision-making. This model of grassroots governance reflects his humility and his belief that leadership is best when shared.

A Legacy of Purposeful Representation

What distinguishes Hon. Ologede is not political showmanship but quiet effectiveness. Constituents describe him as a leader whose actions speak louder than promises. His focus on education, empowerment, and infrastructure has not only amplified Akure North’s voice in the Assembly but also laid a foundation for sustainable development. Truly, Omo Ria Ni stands as a beacon of purposeful leadership in Ondo State.
