Ondo NAWOJ Commends First Lady Seun Aiyedatiwa for Championing Digital Safety at NGSF Summit


The wife of the Ondo State Governor, Mrs. Seun Aiyedatiwa, on Friday, December 4, 2025, joined other First Ladies across the country at the 6th Annual Summit of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses’ Forum (NGSF) in Abuja, where discussions focused on combating digital violence and enhancing online safety for women.
Mrs. Aiyedatiwa, in a post shared on her official Facebook page, described her participation as a delight, noting that the summit provided an avenue to deepen collaboration among government, civil society, and the private sector.
With the theme “United for Change: Men and Women Ending Digital Violence Together,” the forum explored practical strategies to protect women online, strengthen digital literacy, and promote inclusive digital spaces. The First Ladies also deliberated on ways to build sustainable partnerships to address the rising cases of online gender-based violence nationwide.
The Nigeria Association of women journalists (ONDO NAWOJ)  hales her commitment  and initiatives to safeguard women in digital spaces while encouraging broader societal efforts to end all forms of online abuse.

Lawmaker Condoles Family of Murdered Constituent, Promises Justice

The member representing Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo State Constituency, Hon. Nelson Akinsuroju, has described the death of one of his constituents, Isaiah Bademosi, as unfortunate and painful, assuring the bereaved family that justice would be served. Akinsuroju gave the assurance during a condolence visit to the Bademosi family, whose son was allegedly killed by his employer, Mr. Rufus Olafusi, in Ile-Oluji. The lawmaker visited the family’s residence to get firsthand information about the incident.
