Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, FNSE, FNICE, as Commissioner-Designate following a formal communication from him citing official duties outside the country. Engr. Olawoye, who currently serves as the Special Adviser to Governor Lucky  Aiyedatiwa on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, informed the Assembly of his unavailability through an official letter. The letter, which was read during the House plenary session by the Clerk of the House, Barr. Jaiyeola Benjamin, indicated that Olawoye’s absence was due to an official engagement approved by the Governor. According to the Clerk, the Governor had mandated Engr. Olawoye to attend to pressing state-related responsibilities abroad, thereby making it impossible for him to be physically present at the scheduled confirmation session. One of the sixteen commissioner-nominees, Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye from Ondo West Local Government Area, is yet to be confirmed due to unavoidable absence.The Clerk of the House, Jaiyeola Benjamin, read a letter from the nominee seeking permission to be absent during the plenary.The Speaker of the House, Chief Olamide Oladiji, announced that another date would be scheduled for his confirmation.
